Unboxing - iPhone 6 + Setup

Earlier this month the iPhone 6 was revealed to the world. In this video we'll be unboxing the iPhone 6 16GB Space Gray model. In the box you get the iPhone 6, basic literature, Apple Earpods, a USB powercube, and a lightning connector. The iPhone 6 starts at $199 with a 2 year contract on AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. Pre-orders started last week and apple received over 4 million pre-orders. Some people aren't expecting to receive their iPhone until late next month. Did you pick up an iPhone or iPhone 6 Plus? First Look - Apple Watch

Today in California, Apple released the much anticipated Apple Watch. Tim Cook decided to take some big shots at the big guys. Apple's Watch has what they are calling the digital crown. The digital crown is located at the typical place a dial on a watch which apple says gives you more control with menus than what you would get with pinch to zoom. The Apple Watch features everything that most smart watches include these days. The Apple watch uses your phone GPS and WIFI but features its own gyroscope. The Apple watch charges with inductive charging with the connection. The watch faces can be completely customized including the the actual elements on the watch face. The iWatch comes with multiple different colored straps. Straps include stainless steel, red, blue, and black. The iWatch comes in two different watch sizes and different collections. The Apple Watch "Edition" comes in a golden color. An iPhone 5 or later is required for an Apple Watch to work. Swipe up and you get a glance of the information. Siri is available on the Apple Watch and do most things that siri can do on your iPhone. Apple is allowing third party developers to make push notifications and have apps on the Apple Watch. Starwood and American Airlines have partnered with apple to have some features including the ability to unlock your starwood hotel room. You can do everything from finding your car and changing the lighting of your house. Fitness is also built into the Apple Watch. You can view your daily workout activity and set different goals for your day. There’s the Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport, and Apple Watch Edition. The Apple Watch starts at $349 and will be available early 2015.

First Look - iPhone 6 Plus

Today at Apple's September Keynote, the iPhone 6 Plus was finally revealed. The iPhone 6 Plus features a 5.5 inch display, an Apple A8 chip, and is 7.1 mm thin. Apple claims that the A8 chip is 25% faster than the A7X chip and 50% better with graphics performance. Apple also claims that the iPhone Plus 6 is 50% more energy efficient. Apple finally put a 1080P display on one of their phones with a resolution of 1920x1080P. That's a PPI of 401. The iPhone 6 Plus also features LTE WIFI calling on T-Mobile. The iPhone 6 Plus still has an 8 megapixel camera but now has something called focus pixels that make the iPhone able to autofocus while recording video. The iPhone 6 still has an 8 megapixel camera but now has something called focus pixels that make the iPhone able to autofocus while recording video. The iPhone can now record Slow Mo at 250 FPS. The iPhone 6 will be available for $199 on September 19th.

Unboxing - 13" Macbook Pro Retina [Mid 2014] + Setup

For the past couple of months, I've been waiting for a new version of the Macbook Pro Retina to be released. Two weeks ago, the latest version of the Macbook Pro was released. This specific model features an Intel Core i5 dual core processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB PCIE SSD. The Macbook Pro is a big choice for people who want a high resolution computer, one that's thin, and has great battery life. Will this laptop have enough processing power? That's the question. In this video I unbox the Macbook Pro Retina and go over the initial setup process of the Macbook Pro. This entire video was entire filmed and edited with iMovie & Audacity on this machine. First Look -- Android L Developer Preview

Google took to the stage today to talk about the newest version of android. The latest android is the biggest upgrade to android to date and has over 5,000 new APIs. With the latest version of android, google is trying to unify app design so google has created a design standard for android app. In terms of additional features, android now has more options to unlock your phone. You can now do things like unlock your phone by wearing a Bluetooth watch. Art is now the official framework that is much faster and that is 64 bit. Google claims that you can now get PC game performance on high end android devices. From the same developers that worked on Project butter comes Project Volta. With Project Volta, Google is trying really hard to save battery life. Users can now remotely wipe their devices nows. Other additional features of L include a do not disturb mode, Bluetooth 4.1, color correction and more. Developers can get the developer preview starting tomorrow.

First Look - Amazon Fire Phone

Today at Amazon's event, Amazon announced the brand new Fire Phone. Under the hood, the phone has a quad core 2.2 Ghz processor, Adreno 330 graphics processor, and 2GB of RAM. The Fire Phone features a 13 megapixel camera and takes better low light photos than the Samsung Galaxy S5 and iPhone 5s. For audio, the phone features Dolby Digital dual stereo speakers. Amazon knows headphones tangle easily, so amazon is including magnetic, flat, tangle-free headphones. In terms of the screen, the Fire Phone a 4.7-inch IPS LCD HD display with Gorilla Glass 3. One cool feature of the Fire Phone is Fire Fly. Fire Fly lets you take a photo of an item and tell you the price of amazon as well as recognize TV and music. The FirePhone features 3D capabilities and Amazon demoed the phone's ability with a maps app and a lock screen. Amazon is calling this dynamic perspective and will be available as an open SDK. For dynamic perspective the phone features 6 different cameras. The Fire Phone will cost $199 for a 32GB model and $299 for a 64GB model on AT&T and is available for pre-order today. The phone will be available July 25th. 12 months of amazon prime is included with this phone which if you pay for prime, essentially makes the phone $100. Are you on AT&T? First Look - Samsung Galaxy Tab S (8.4 & 10.5)

Samsung recently announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab S. The Galaxy Tab Sfeatures a WXVGA display and comes in a 8.4 and 10.5 inch model. Samsung claims that it is the lightest and thinnest tablet on the market. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S goes on sale in July starting at $399 for the 8.4 inch model and $499 for the 10.5 inch model. First Look - iOS 8

Today at WWDC, Apple announced iOS 8. With iOS 8, you can use SIRI without talking, group messaging has been added, QuickType allows you to type faster, the Mail app has been redone, a new health app and family sharing. With Family Sharing, you can access the same purchases of your family members and send purchase requests to a parent account. For photos, you can now sort and search for photos by location. iOS now has Apple Bundles, and a new way to explore apps. You can get iCloud Drive storage as low as $12 a year for 20GB. I've been waiting for swype for iOS and finally it's here. You can now install third party keyboards from the app store. First Look -- Mac OS X Yosemite

Today at WWDC, Apple announced Mac OS X Yosemite. With Yosemite, you have a more flat and modern design that's a lot more like iOS 8. Calendar, Maps, and FaceTime have been redesign to make them more modern. Spotlight also now becomes more of an actual app with a new version of spotlight. What do you think about Mac OS X Yosemite? iCloud Drive is now an actual thing which will work with Windows and is essentially an Apple version of Dropbox.
